Case study - DHSC
MedCo Solutions successfully delivered a large contract to the DHSC in July 2020. This contract was for the supply of Face Visors to protect health workers in the fight against COVID 19.
Solution
Medco solutions had a very comprehensive task of delivering 20 million face visors to the DHSC. This involved the OEM design and manufacture of a BSEN1460 and CE compliant Visor, produced solely in our Swedish manufacturing facility, we provided over 400 jobs to Swedish citizens who were without a job due to Covid 19, and gave us the opportunity to showcase 3 key areas of the Medco expertise:
- OEM In-house Design and Manufacture of Medical Devices
- Major logistics planning and freight scheduling
- Advanced Project Management including everything from design to successful delivery on time and in full.
End result
- Successful delivery of 20 Million Face Visors between July-August 2020
- 700 Containers Shipped
- 400 Swedish staff who had lost their jobs due to COVID-19 were re-employed by Medco to fulfil this contract.
